The executive job market in Poland is undergoing a fundamental transformation. The pace and complexity of today’s business environment have made interim management far more than just a temporary solution between permanent roles. Increasingly, it is becoming a deliberate career choice for senior executives and top managers.
However, transitioning from a permanent leadership position into a project-based interim role requires a very specific set of competencies. It is a completely different journey from traditional full-time employment. That is why, at Amberstone Associates, drawing on years of executive search experience, we created the Executive Interim Program — the only development program of its kind in Poland designed so comprehensively for both aspiring and experienced interim managers.
Why Is C-Level Experience Alone Not Enough?
Being an Interim Manager is not just about “managing” — it is about delivering measurable results within an extremely short timeframe. That is why our program focuses on three core pillars that are largely absent from traditional business education:
- Rapid Onboarding Methodology: How can you take control of an organization within 48 hours — without triggering resistance from the team?
- Value Proposition: How can you position and sell your expertise as a high-value service rather than a traditional full-time role?
- Transformation Management: Practical tools and frameworks for leading restructuring and organizational change in a project-based environment.
Meet the Expert Team Behind the Program
Success in interim management depends on understanding both sides of the equation: the client and the manager. That is why the Program is led by experienced practitioners who have spent years bridging these two worlds:
Aldona Królikowska
Executive Leadership Experience: Aldona is a senior executive with over 20 years of experience in renowned international corporations such as Bosch, DHL, and Hilti. Most notably, as former CEO and General Manager of Hilti Poland, she brings unique operational expertise in successfully leading organizations through complex transformation processes.
Expertise and Advisory Experience: Alongside her executive career, she developed her capabilities as an accredited Senior Practitioner Mentor (EMCC) and certified coach (PCC ICF). As a result, she now specializes in executive onboarding processes and strategic advisory support for leaders transitioning into new roles.
Specialization: In her work, Aldona helps participants build personal effectiveness and leadership resilience. She also demonstrates how to successfully combine ambitious business objectives with a genuine passion for developing people — even in the highly dynamic environment of interim management.
Piotr Dziwok
One of the most experienced operational leaders in Poland and Central & Eastern Europe.
Executive Experience: Piotr is recognized as one of the most experienced operational leaders in Poland and Central & Eastern Europe. He spent many years with Shell, where he was responsible for major strategic restructuring initiatives in Poland as well as organizational transformations across Latin America. Under his leadership, the Shell Business Centre in Kraków grew to an impressive scale of 5,000 employees.
Industry Impact: His position in the business world has been reinforced through leadership roles such as Honorary President and Chairman of the Advisory Board of ABSL — an organization representing more than 250 global corporations.
Specialization: Building on this extensive experience, Piotr serves as a certified CEO Roundtable moderator and executive mentor, with training from IMD and the Carlson School of Management. As a result, he teaches participants how to lead highly complex, large-scale projects and how to effectively combine analytical thinking with leadership in multicultural environments.
What Will You Gain by Joining the Program?
We designed the program so that every participant leaves with a practical “playbook” for their new professional journey:
- 3 days of in-person workshops in Warsaw, combined with online case study sessions.
- Individual Assessment: Each participant goes through the Harrison Assessment process, enabling a precise evaluation of their suitability and strengths for interim management roles.
- Premium Networking: Working in a group of up to 18 participants — exclusively C-level and Board-level executives — creates a unique opportunity to exchange experiences with peers who share a similar professional background.
- Certification: Participants receive an Executive Interim Manager certificate confirming the competencies acquired throughout the program — recognized by Amberstone’s partners and business network.
